Privacy Policy

Effective 11 October 2026

In short: Brimmy keeps your diary only on your iPhone. The app has no server and no account, sends nothing to the developer and collects no analytics.

Who we are

Brimmy: Feelings Diary (“Brimmy”, “the app”) is made by Stanmash Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, Company No. 17337841, registered office: Stoney Works, 8 Stoney Lane, London SE19 3BD, United Kingdom. Contact: [email protected].

What stays on your device

Everything you write in Brimmy — feelings, events, notes, body sensations, homework and session notes, meeting dates and your settings — is stored only in the app’s storage on your iPhone. We cannot see, access or recover it.

Like other app data, it may be included in your device backup (iCloud Backup or a computer backup) if you have turned device backups on. Those backups are handled by Apple under your Apple Account settings, not by us.

What we collect

Nothing. Brimmy does not use analytics, advertising, tracking, crash-reporting services or third-party SDKs, and it does not make network requests of its own.

Reminders are local iOS notifications: your iPhone schedules them itself, and nothing is sent anywhere.

If you turned on “Share With App Developers” in iOS Settings (Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements), Apple may share anonymised crash reports and usage statistics with us. That is your choice in iOS Settings, not something Brimmy does.

Files you export

You can save a backup of your diary (JSON) or share a PDF. These files are created only when you ask and go only where you choose — for example the Files app, iCloud Drive or a message to your therapist. After that, they are subject to the privacy terms of the place you saved or sent them to.

When you write to us

“Suggest an Idea” and “Report a Bug” in Settings open the form at feedback.brimmy.me in Safari. The app itself sends nothing. Along with your message go the Brimmy version, the iOS version, the iPhone model and the form’s language, so we can look into a bug. If you open the form from the website, only the form’s language goes along. Screenshots and an email for a reply are added only by you, if you want.

Your message arrives as an email to the developer; the form’s server does not store it. The form runs on Cloudflare and the emails are kept in Google’s mail service; both process them on our behalf and are bound to protect them at least as well as we do. To block spam the form uses Cloudflare Turnstile, a check without puzzles that is not used for advertising. Your IP address is used only to block spam; we don’t store it. We use your message only to reply and to improve Brimmy, based on our legitimate interest in answering you. We keep these emails for no longer than 12 months, or delete them sooner if you ask at [email protected].

Please don’t send diary entries or health details through the form: they aren’t needed to look into an idea or a bug.

Purchases

Brimmy Plus is sold through the App Store. Payment is handled entirely by Apple; we never receive your payment details. Apple provides us with aggregated, anonymised sales reports in App Store Connect. The app checks your purchase status with the App Store on your device.

Face ID

If you turn on Face ID, the check is performed by iOS. The app only receives a yes-or-no result and never has access to your biometric data.

Links

The “Need help right now?” screen can start a phone call or text to a helpline, or open findahelpline.com in Safari. Those services have their own privacy policies.

The brimmy.me website

The website uses no cookies and no ads. Visits are counted by Cloudflare Web Analytics without cookies and without tracking you across sites. We see only aggregated data: which pages were opened, where visitors came from, their country and device type.

Deleting your data

Settings → Delete All Data removes your diary from the app. Deleting the app removes it as well. Files you exported yourself are not affected.

Children

Brimmy is not directed at children under 13. The app collects no data from anyone.

Your rights

We hold no data from your diary: it is fully under your control on your device. If you wrote to us through the form or by email, you can ask for a copy of your message or for its deletion. For questions and requests, write to [email protected].

If you think we handle your data wrongly, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above. If Brimmy ever starts collecting any data, we will say so here and in the App Store before that version is released.
